Most of us who love personal liberty are familiar with the anecdote that relates "How to cook a frog." I grew up in a staunchly patriotic and conservative household where freedom was not taken for granted. I refuse to remain silent, without protest, as the fire under the pot in which I swim is gradually increased. I wish only to be protected by my government; not clothed, housed, nor fed by it. Neither do I want to have any legislative body's misguided concept of "what's good for you" imposed on me by law. I believe in the right of the individual to make personal decisions without government interference and accept responsibility for the results so long as those decisions do not infringe on the freedoms of others.
